Gori Fastnet

GORI Propeller Helps LEON to Fastnet Victory

The 2025 Rolex Fastnet Race has wrapped up with LEON, a JPK 1010 skippered by Alexis Loison and Jean-Pierre Kelbert, taking overall victory. While the crew’s skill was key, their equipment made a real difference too, most notably the GORI Propeller.

What GORI Offers Your Clients

  • Less drag under sail – folding blade design keeps boats faster and cleaner through the water

  • Efficiency under motor – smoother propulsion and better fuel economy when power is needed

  • Choice of configurations – 2-blade, 3-blade, plus a “Racing” setting for those chasing every knot

For your clients, it’s a proven solution backed by world-class results. For you, it’s another premium product to recommend with confidence, whether they’re racing offshore or cruising Kiwi waters.

Smartgyro SG40

Smartgyro SG40 – The Next Step in Stabilisation

News from Smartgyro…they are bringing out the upgraded SG40 later this year, and it’s set to make life easier for both installers and boaties. First launched over a decade ago, the SG40 has always been a go-to unit in the Smartgyro line-up. Now it’s been re-engineered inside, while keeping the same footprint, so you get more torque, lower power use, and easier onboard servicing without changing how it fits.

Ideal for 50–60ft Boats

The updated SG40 keeps the same name, size, and installation profile, so it drops straight into existing setups or new builds, while offering:

  • More punch – anti-roll torque boosted by 10.5% (up to 21,000 Nm)

  • Lighter build – weight trimmed from 650 kg to 625 kg

  • Lower running costs – operating AC power down to 1.5–2.2 kW

  • Quicker servicing – bearings and sensors easier to get at

Built on Real-World Feedback

The SG40 is the result of years of testing and feedback. It’s more efficient, easier to maintain, and stronger where it counts. For PE dealers, it means a stabiliser that’s simple to install, straightforward to service, and rock-solid reliable for your clients out on the water.

Yanmar Dragon Gold Cup

Yanmar on the World Stage

Yanmar has just wrapped up its role as title sponsor of the Dragon Gold Cup 2025 in Douarnenez, France (23–30 August). The event pulled in some of the best Dragon class sailors from around the globe and delivered another week of top-class racing.

It’s not Yanmar’s first time backing the Gold Cup — they’ve been a sponsor since 2019 and even have their own YANMAR Racing Team competing in the class. For Yanmar, it’s about more than just engines; it’s about sharing the excitement of sailing and being part of the lifestyle.

With over 100 years in marine innovation, Yanmar’s continued support of international sailing shows they’re as passionate about life on the water as the technology that powers it.

Hundested Propellers

Product Update: Hundested Controllable Pitch Propellers

If your clients are chasing more efficiency and control, Hundested CP Propellers are well worth a look. Made to order and built tough, they cover diameters from 750mm to 4000mm and power from 300HP right up to 5000HP, ideal for everything from bluewater yachts to commercial boats.

Why Dealers Recommend CPPs

  • Efficiency & range – optimise pitch to cut fuel use, lower emissions, and extend cruising range

  • Flexibility – feather blades under sail, run one prop on motoryachts to ease engine wear, or handle heavy loads without overstraining the system
Better manoeuvring – fixed RPM with variable pitch gives instant acceleration and quicker, safer stopping

For Kiwi operators, it’s about giving boats more capability while saving on fuel and maintenance, benefits your customers will appreciate on the water.
